WELCOME BACK ALUMNI

Thanks for stopping by the Former Student section of the LONGHORN BSM website.

Take some time to learn how you can be involved at the LONGHORN BSM even if you are far away from Austin. Remain a vital part of the ministry by staying informed through this website, volunteering to help, and providing financial support.

We know some of you who view this page are not yet former students, but you will be someday……..trust us it does happen…….so take a look now and begin to pray about your future involvement. Staying involved with LONGHORN BSM can be rewarding and a way to continue to serve the students at the University of Texas

If you have any questions, comments, or ideas please contact any of the staff at the BSM.

Events

We would love to have former students back in the BSM building.  If you are interested in a group from your generation coming back to Austin we would love to serve BSM alumni by having you back in the building.

Have an idea for a BSM Former Student Event? We would really like to know your ideas. Please e-mail Moe at moeutbsm@gmail.com with your thoughts.

WAYS TO VOLUNTEER

Even though you have graduated, the LONGHORN BSM still needs you!  There are many ways you may continue to serve as a volunteer in the ministry.  We need people to help with conversation partners, welcome activities and mission trips so, check back here for opportunities to personally serve as a volunteer.  If you see something you would like to try, send an email to jamieutbsm@gmail.com

Ways to Give

Texas former students and friends of the LONGHORN BSM have always been strong financial supporters of the ministry on campus through the BSM.  This support is sincerely and greatly appreciated.  This support has provided for ministry that would not have been possible otherwise.

With such a large student body at the University of Texas the need for financial resources becomes greater with each passing year.  So, please consider how you might contribute financially to the LONGHORN BSM.  The LONGHORN BSM has established the following ways to support the Baptist student ministry at the University of Texas:

• Former Student Fund – This fund was established at the time the LONGHORN BSM Former Student Board was created some years ago.  This fund is administered by the Board and is used for such things as supporting the full cost of the interns, purchasing equipment for the BSM, helping to underwrite mission trips, helping to pay for welcome week activities, and anything else that is requested by the LONGHORN BSM staff that is directly related to ministry.

• Estate Planning – We would encourage you to consider providing for the ministry at the Longhorn BSM through your will.  We can provide information and guidance through the Baptist Foundation of Texas.

For more information contact the BSM at               512-474-1429        or you may contribute online using your credit or debit card through our secure link below.
