LONGHORN BAPTIST STUDENT MINISTRY

Our Longhorn BSM leadership team is composed of students who desire to lead other students. Students in Leadership Connections are divided into several teams with different functions ranging from small group leaders to event planners. The LC meets monthly to plan, pray, and prepare for the weekly ministries that go on here at the Longhorn BSM
PHILOSOPHY:
Baptist Student Ministry exists to encourage UT students to become passionate followers of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to equip UT students to reach the campus and the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Discipleship and Evangelism are BSM’s highest priorities. We are a student led organization depending on UT students to accomplish this vital ministry. The BSM staff exists to mentor, encourage and equip students to serve Christ. Students are selected for leadership positions based on previous involvement, giftedness, maturity, and passion for ministry. Leaders need a humble heart, a willingness to serve, and a desire to grow in their faith.

- DISCIPLESHIP: Becoming passionate followers of Jesus Christ
- EVANGELISM: Sharing the love and truth of Christ with UT students
- MISSIONS: Sharing the love and truth of Christ with the world
CHURCH LIFE:
- Connecting local churches to UT students and UT students to local churches
QUALIFICATIONS FOR STUDENT LEADERSHIP TEAM MEMBERS:

HOW DO I APPLY FOR THE BSM LEADERSHIP TEAM?
Pick up an application from the BSM office, complete it, and turn it in to the Baptist Student Center office by (TBA) and sign up for an interview time. Interviews will be conducted by BSM staff and current student leaders.
